Syouji Residence
Combination of Greenery and Walls that Creates a Sense of Safety
In this project, we have designed an overlap of the green grove and the wall of the basement. The overlapping design creates a sense of nature in the area, communicating a sense of safety and secureness across the residence. The main entrance has become a pleasant hallway that leads around the garden, creating a depth in space with the curves and blinds that gives a partial view of the space. The hallway reaches to the lounge, and allows residents to enjoy an open space and a panoramic view of the garden. We have a goal to create an environment where nature accompanies daily life, and where one can feel a sense of liveliness and enrichment.
