Kyoto Fushimi Residence
Unity of Landscape: from the Inside to the Outside
This architecture creates a depth in space by using brick walls all the way through the approach to the entrance hall. In addition, the impression of greenery peeking through the openings in the walls was accentuated by making the space porous. The decorative uneven surface creates a subtle nuance of shadow in the landscape with sunlight and night time lights, adding elegance to the landscape with the greenery.
